Online Cloud Backup is ideal for:

- Amounts usually greater than 50 GB

As data ages and becomes less valuable, CoreVault recommends moving it to our mid-tier data storage service, Archive Cloud Backup. To reduce costs without compromising security, Archive data is backed up at a single off-site location. Restoration time is slightly longer but still easily managed by clients from a central location.

Our tiered backup programs enable you to select a cost tier that matches the value of the data. In turn, together we can create the most cost-effective data protection program possible, one ideally suited to your unique needs.
In order to further this goal, CoreVault can automate policies in the installation process to move data automatically from Online Backup to Archive after certain time intervals or under certain circumstances, all set by you. For example, you may decide that once data has aged two years, CoreVault will automatically move that block of data to the second-tier service, which saves money. To determine what data should be protected with Online, Archive or Local Backup, we recommend using our Data Analysis Tool.
In addition, keeping data too long can create a potential liability. CoreVault can destroy archived data upon request or at pre-set intervals in compliance with Department of Defense methodologies; we then issue a destruction certificate.
