Our certified instructors have extensive knowledge of Asigra from not just receiving their own training, but working with customers on a daily basis. Their gifted teaching skills provide companies with both the technical and practical knowledge needed to deliver the best technical support to their own customers.
The goals and content of the sessions are to facilitate a learning experience to challenge and provide you an increased comfort level when returning to your everyday business. CoreVault commits to the following:
- Develop knowledge and skills of Asigra software. Work together to solve highly complex situations that require attendees to utilize their existing technology skills with new acquired knowledge.
- Engage you in situations that will help you solve real customer problems. Working in small groups or individually during the training session in a simulated "real world" lab, attendees will apply skills that will be retained through the practical exercises.
- Two-way learning. Instructors encourage attendees to bring real-life issues to the classroom so both parties can apply Asigra solutions in resolution of them.
- Adjust teaching approach to attendee profile. Our flexible approach takes advantage of different learning styles thus giving individuals a chance to excel in this training class.
Training Requirements
- Experience with Operating Systems: Windows / Linux / Mac.
- Knowledge in the following areas: LAN, Storage (DAS, NAS, SAN), Databases (MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Certifications (MSCE, Novell, A+, CCNA, etc).
Level 1: Asigra Cloud Backup™ Foundation Training
Duration: 4 Days
This course is designed for Service Providers.
This course teaches the fundamental operations of using Asigra Cloud Backup™ in a Data Center environment. The DS-License Server, DS-System and DS-Billing are the core components examined during the four days. The DS-Billing content is primarily focused on configuration practices that could make deployment simpler in the long term. Participants are expected to be actively engaged since there are many lab exercises designed to expose common pitfalls that can be avoided when working in a production environment.
At the end of this training, attendees will be able to:
- Deploy production and emergency DS-License Servers.
- Install physical and/or virtual DS-Systems.
- Optimally configure the DS-System for best performance.
- Manage and monitor the DS-System.
- Generate reports.
- Install and configure DS-Billing so DS-Clients and customers can be created.
Level 2: Additional Component and Configuration Training
Duration: 3 Days
This course is designed for Service Providers.
Building upon the core components taught in Level 1 of the Asigra Cloud Backup™, this course teaches advanced configurations for the DS-Client (Grid Configuration) and DS-System (N+1). Additional concepts are taught for DS-Billing and two new modules are introduced; Backup Lifecycle Manager (BLM) Archiver and Web Portal. Particpants will also learn about Replication, discuss other Disaster Recovery plans and how to create comprehensive Backup Sets.
At the end of this training, attendees will be able to:
- Configure a Grid DS-Client.
- Deploy an N+1 DS-System.
- Implement Replication solutions and Disaster Recovery plans.
- Manage DS-Billing and generate reports.
- Install and configure BLM Archiver.
- Configure and use the Web Portal.
