DESCRIPTION

Manages all aspects technical sales throughout the United States

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provides technical sales to strategic enterprise opportunities
  • Minimum of 2+ years of Business to Business Selling Experience
  • Strong Cold Calling and Prospecting Skills on the phone and in person
  • Experience selling software or other technical products to Senior Level Executives or IT Managers a plus
  • Proven ability to manage sales pipeline
  • Ability in setting appointments
  • Networking skills and ability to build a referral base
  • Strong Communication and Presentation Skills
  • Track record of meeting objectives
  • Time management, oral and written communication skills
  • Software Skills – Efficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to understand business requirements and goals from the Customer.
  • Collaborating with customer to validate design concepts and ensure integration into customer operations and infrastructure
  • Working with Sales Support and Customer Care organizations regarding: validation of sales order to ensure accuracy
  • Formulating and assembling responses related to technology and specific configuration
  • Develops and delivers professional presentations at technical and management levels
  • Ensures knowledge of industry and technologies is current; attends internal/external training classes.
  • Functions as education/technical resource as needed for Sales Support Specialist/Account Management Specialist
  • Product Development – Provide market trends and data to assist with product development activities
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Market knowledge of the SaaS, Virtual Server and IaaS Products
  • Previous experience in Sales of Software, or virtual products and/or computer systems

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Excellent written, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong personal leadership – Planning, goal setting, resource allocation, setting objectives, negotiation, team management, problem solving

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Able to travel when required
  • Typical office environment with extensive use of office equipment, including PC, copier, phone
  • Other physical duties as required

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical field or equivalent combination of education/experience
  • 2+ years work experience in the following areas is required: Sales in a data vendor environment
